It’s February, which means love is in the air. Self love that is. While everyone thinks Valentine’s Day is all about couples, it’s really a holiday celebrating love, and loving yourself should be the top priority. There are so many ways to celebrate self-love, so we’ve compiled a list of a few of our favorites.


Buy Yourself a Sweet Treat

The saying “treat yourself” has never been more true. You deserve a little something something, and a sweet treat from your favorite cafe or bakery is the perfect way to show yourself how much you care. If you’re more ambitious, you can even take on the challenge of baking something yourself!

Spa Day

Whether it’s a diy spa day, or one at a fancy location, caring for your body is a great way to practice self-love. A nice everything shower with plenty of scrubs and lotions, a massage all for yourself, or even a relaxing bubble bath is the way to go.


Take Yourself on a Date

When was the last time you went out by yourself and had a great time? It’s probably been a while, as life can get really complicated. Taking time for yourself to just decompress and do something you love is super important. Take yourself out on a date with the goal of just enjoying your alone time. Whether you go to see a movie, paint some pottery, or even something more intense like axe throwing, spending time alone can help you realize that you are your own best company.


Shopping Spree

Take yourself shopping and buy that pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing for a while, or a new, bold bright red lipstick you think you can’t pull off (but you totally can). Investing in yourself, especially in pieces and products you know you’ll love and use is a nice way to say “thank you” to yourself for taking on the world.
