JULIA ROBERTS

Beloved for her girl-next-door vibe, Julia Roberts is an adored actress that captured our hearts from the beginning of her career– I mean with that smile, who wouldn’t?!

It is admirable that Roberts was able to achieve all she did throughout her career. As a young woman, she moved to New York City to pursue an acting career with no formal experience. Since then, she has been in countless rom-coms, dramas, and comedies, as well as starring in many advertisements for brands like Lancome.

In 2000, she started her own production company, “Shoelace Productions,” which was hugely successful. That same year, she earned an academy award for starring in Erin Brockovich (2000). While she has become a household name, Roberts has maintained her humility and relatability.

Years later, Roberts is still a beauty icon. Her trademark shiny, natural curls are a staple in most of her looks. Robert’s effortless look is due to makeup that enhances her sparkling brown eyes and blinding smile– a “I woke up like this” vibe, if you will. Especially in most of her looks from the 90s and early 2000s, she looks fresh-faced and full of light, donning a barely-there makeup look with just mascara and glossy-pink, hydrated lips. While over-plucking was a huge trend in these eras, Roberts chose to keep her brows relatively untouched. Despite Hollywood being full of over-the-top looks, it is comforting to see a woman in the spotlight like Roberts who chose to highlight her natural look. She didn’t need all of the frills and the glam– and we love her for that! Her carefree, effortless beauty combined with her down-to-earth personality makes Julia Roberts a Woman We Love.
